In this episode we discuss societal and cultural changes considering the influence of traditional TV sitcoms on the public's perception, evolving language trends, and the effect woke culture has had on media institutions.  We chat about societal attitudes towards physical appearance, especially obesity, and discuss the overuse of the term "Black Swan".  We conclude with reflections on recent social movements, such as Black Lives Matter, and our belief that these movements might now be on a downward trend. Thanks for listening.

Monday Feb 05, 2024

In this episode, Jack and Loy discuss how secular humanists, with a godless life, attempt to fill their spiritual void through projection, and thereby externalize their own guilt and shame onto others, often in a public and high-profile manner.  We pose the theory that the secular humanist's tendency to act out is due to a common connection: an absence of what some people call a 'god hole'.  Want to know more?  Then settle in to this episode.

Monday Jan 01, 2024

Today, we're discussing the future of America's youth. There are encouraging signs of change fueled by young figures like Charlie Kirk. They're fostering serious, grounded conversations, contrasting with the trivial disruptions on college campuses in past decades.
Despite the negativity surrounding youths in the current media, there's a noticeable shift towards more reasoned arguments and depth in their political discourse.
There's an emerging trend where more young people are beginning to question the societal expectations placed on them, specifically regarding career paths and the notion that they cannot pursue traditional roles such as being a housewife or mother. People are beginning to acknowledge the value in these roles and the impact on personal satisfaction and happiness.
Despite some of the challenges faced by young people, it's clear that there remains a glimmer of hope for meaningful changes. These changes can lead to a healthier, more balanced society where individuals feel empowered to question societal norms and make choices that best align with their values.

Today, Cashel and Edge debate over the Americans with Disabilities Act and its impact on our society. They observe how it influences everything from small businesses to parking lots. The ADA inadvertently obstructs entrepreneurial efforts by burdening small businesses with extensive adaptations and regulations to cater to a minority.  Moreover, they oppose the misuse of ADA privileges by non-disabled persons, adding to society's cynicism. The duo also comment on how the act has shifted cultural perspectives, attributing diseases to conditions like alcoholism and gender dysphoria. They ponder if these conditions are indeed diseases or simply societal issues or character flaws that need addressing.

Tuesday Dec 19, 2023

We’re taking an excursion into Jack’s early career life with job interviews that seemed to hit the fan.  It wasn’t Jack, it was the companies themselves.  We call it Corporate Oppression that leads us to our topic…a powerful elite, characterized as "psychopaths, sociopaths, eugenicists, moral relativists, secular humanists," is engaged in systematic oppression of American values and institutions. This oppression manifests in various ways, from corporate censorship to political corruption. We believe that polite, persistent questioning and highlighting hypocrisy can be effective in holding institutions and individuals accountable. Plus we’ll offer suggestions about how to deal with the Time Machine Morlocks out there!

Episode 47

Monday Dec 11, 2023

Monday Dec 11, 2023

Today's topic is language deterioration and vocabulary quality among kids today. We identify a stark decline in language skills among society, tied to our lax education system. We nostalgically remember how Reader’s Digest played a role in vocabulary enhancement of older generations. We stand by the belief that language marks a key to success. We see the disintegration of language in our contemporary society, owing mostly to educational complacency and a lack of language discipline. Language usage varies among professions like government workers and IT professionals affecting language evolution and deterioration. We encourage people to converse with those possessing superior language skills to improve their own.

Hang on…we’re approaching the intersections of humor, society, and politics.  How did humor evolve, especially in Hollywood.  What’s the state of humor in America today and what has political correctness in comedy done to the good old belly laugh?  Can a comedian face legal consequences for a joke that was shared? Our duo throws in some humor and scratches their heads at the way some comedy is perceived these days.  Thanks for listening.
